Is the white painted or washed?

Painted. Our white wash finish is a wash that lets the grain of the willow show through; this angel is painted a solid white over split willow, which is why it reads as a clean shape from across a room.

Is it only a Christmas decoration?

It sells hardest in December, but nothing about it is seasonal. Plenty go on a nursery wall or a hallway hook and stay there, and at 100 g there is no weight problem wherever you hang it.

Can it hang outdoors, on a wreath or a porch?

We would keep it inside. The paint is not a weatherproof coat and the jute string will rot if it stays wet, so a porch that catches rain will shorten its life considerably.

Will it sit flat against a door?

Yes, that is what the 3 cm depth is for. The back is flat and the string comes off the top centre, so it hangs true rather than tipping forward off a door or a cupboard front.
