Handwoven from kubu grey rattan, this substantial wheeled log basket combines natural woven construction with a solid wooden base and four castor wheels. Integrated side handles provide convenient handholds, while the hessian lining helps contain loose bark and smaller pieces of firewood debris.

Designed for convenient fireside storage, the wheeled base allows the basket to be repositioned without needing to lift the full contents. Its generous rectangular body provides space for logs and kindling, while the textured grey finish complements both traditional fireplaces and modern living spaces.

What is the advantage of a wheeled log basket?

A wheeled basket can be repositioned without lifting the entire container and its contents. This is particularly useful for larger quantities of firewood, which can become heavy when stored together. The castors are intended for appropriate, relatively even surfaces, and care should be taken when moving a loaded basket.

How does the wooden base support the basket?

The solid wooden base provides an underlying platform for the woven rattan body and castor wheels. This separates the main load from the basket's woven bottom and allows the wheels to support movement across suitable flooring.

Why is the basket lined with hessian?

Hessian provides a protective fabric barrier inside the basket, helping contain bark, splinters and other loose debris associated with firewood storage. This can help keep surrounding floors tidier and prevent smaller particles from collecting in the rattan weave.

Can the castor wheels damage wooden or tiled floors?

As with other wheeled furniture and storage products, grit caught around the castors can mark delicate surfaces. Keep the wheels clean, avoid dragging the basket sideways and use suitable floor protection where necessary.

Can this basket be used for other household storage?

Yes. Its generous capacity makes it suitable for dry blankets, throws and other bulky household belongings. The wheeled base can also be useful where a large storage basket needs occasional repositioning.
