Small, oval and lidded, woven in full antique wash willow with cream faux leather hinges and clasps and an arc handle worked into the weave. Two lids meet at the handle and swing outwards. Unlined is standard, with a removable cotton lining in navy blue, garden rose, white or grey sage as a paid option.

Lunch for two is about its size, which also makes it a gift hamper or a lidded store for a dressing table. The linings lift clear of the willow for washing, so it can be lined through the summer and left bare after.

Can I take the lining out to wash it?

Yes. Every lining on this basket is a separate cotton or cotton polyester cover that lifts clear of the willow, so it can be washed and dropped back in.

Why is the unlined one lighter?

The willow basket is 300 g on its own. A fitted lining adds roughly 100 g, which is the difference between the two weights.

This or the White Wash Finish Oval Picnic Basket?

This is the smaller of the two at 30 x 23 cm against 42 x 35 cm, and it is grey toned rather than white. Take the white wash one if you are feeding more than two.

Are the other lining colours orderable?

This basket is also made with green tweed, red and white checked and blue and white checked linings. Those are not on the site, so email us and we will see what we can bring in.
