This chiller basket is a rectangular willow carrier in a full antique wash finish, with a chilled compartment, grey faux leather straps and a swing handle. A 600D PVC cover pulls over the top, and a picnic blanket is packed with it as standard.

Willow is not waterproof, so the cover is what lets a picnic carry on in a shower instead of being packed up. The straps close over the top for carrying and the swing handle drops down out of the way. With the blanket included, it suits anyone starting a picnic kit from nothing.

What does the waterproof cover actually do?

It goes over the top of the basket and keeps rain off the contents while you are carrying it. It is not a guarantee against a soaking: willow underneath is still willow, so get it under shelter rather than leaving it out.

What size is the blanket?

It is the family-sized rug that ships with the basket rather than a separate product, so we do not list it under its own dimensions. Email us if the exact size matters before you order.

How heavy is it?

1.9 kg empty, with the cover and the blanket. That is double the weight of our plain cooler baskets, which is the price of what comes with it.

Will bottles stand up in it?

Yes. At 34 cm tall it takes a standard 30 cm wine bottle upright with the straps still able to close over the top.
