This 14 inch antique wash wicker hamper is a lidded gift hamper basket woven from split antique wash willow, with cream faux leather trim. It measures 36 x 26 x 15 cm, weighs 750 g, and is bought for Christmas hampers, wedding favours and shelf storage.

Split willow is whole rod cut down its length before weaving, which gives a flatter band and a closer surface than round rods leave. Five removable lining colours are stocked against the one basket: black, grey sage, navy blue, red and white. At 15 cm the well is shallow for a hamper of this length, so a filled basket lays its contents out rather than stacking them.

Can I have it without a lining?

Our supplier makes an unlined version of this basket, but we do not currently stock it here. Email us and we will tell you whether we can order one in.

What does the antique wash finish look like?

A grey-brown cast over the willow rather than a solid colour, so the grain of each rod still shows through. It varies a little basket to basket.

Will 36 x 26 cm take a bottle lying down?

Yes, a standard 75 cl bottle lies flat along the length with room beside it. The 15 cm depth means it sits in a single layer rather than stacking under anything.
