An upright double steamed willow chest with a hinged lid, tan faux leather buckles and handle holes cut into the sides so nothing protrudes. It is taller than it is long, which is unusual for a hamper. Small or large, or a set of both.

The height is the reason for it. Bottles store standing rather than laid on their sides, and the same height suits tall boxes, rolled textiles and anything better kept upright. Inside it is bare willow, so put a cloth in for anything that might catch on the weave.

How many bottles does it actually hold?

We have worked it out from the internal dimensions rather than filling one: roughly a dozen standing in the small and roughly twenty in the large. Treat those as estimates. If the exact number matters, email us and we will load one and count.

Does it have to be used for wine?

No. It is a tall lidded willow chest, and the height that suits bottles also suits tall boxes, rolled textiles, and anything you would rather store standing than flat. The name describes the shape more than the contents.

Is the leather real?

Is it lined?

No, it is bare willow inside. Bottles and boxes are fine against the weave, but put a cloth in if you are storing anything that might catch.
