Shredded paper in black, made in the UK from 100% recycled paper and biodegradable in turn. It is supplied loose in a box, ready to pack straight into a hamper.

Filler does two jobs: it holds the contents still so nothing arrives broken, and it lifts the top layer up near the rim where it can be seen. Black sits back behind dark labels and bottles instead of competing with them, and goes in the paper recycling or the compost afterwards.

How many hampers will 4 kg fill?

Around 35 of our 14 inch hampers, though it depends entirely on how deeply you pack them. If you are dressing a small number generously, work on fewer than that.

Is it recyclable?

Yes. It is 100% recycled paper to begin with and 100% biodegradable, so it goes in the paper recycling or on a compost heap once the hamper has been emptied.

Will the colour transfer onto the contents?

It is dyed paper, so for unwrapped pale fabrics or anything unsealed it is worth lining the basket with tissue first. For bottles, jars and packaged goods it is not something to worry about.

Can I use it for anything other than hampers?

Yes. It works for gift boxes, shop and market display, and as void fill when you are posting something fragile.
