Pine, cut and joined rather than woven, with hand holds cut through the wall at each end, so there is nothing added on to snap off. The sides are shallow and close to vertical, the base only marginally narrower than the rim. One size.

It is made to carry: tea and breakfast through to a table, with mugs standing where you put them rather than sliding together. Between meals it works as a desk or dressing table organiser, or a stand for potted plants. Pine takes a wipe, but keep it indoors.

What wood is it, and what is the finish?

It is pine, with a painted finish. If the exact colour matters to you, email us and we will check the batch before you order.

Can I put wet glasses on it?

Wipe spills as they happen. The finish is not a sealed surface, so treat it as you would any wooden tray.

Will it hold a full tea service?

A teapot, two mugs, a milk jug and a plate sit inside the 39 x 30.5 cm base with room to lift it. The hand holds are cut through the wall itself, so there is nothing to snap off.

Can I use it outdoors?

Keep it indoors. Pine left out in the weather swells, splits and greys, and the finish on this tray is not made to stand up to it.
