Two white wash willow trays, a smaller and a larger, sold only as a pair, each with its own removable lining in 100% cotton. The wash sits on the surface of the willow, so the weave pattern still shows through it, and either lining lifts straight out.

The pair suits a dressing table, jewellery and hair clips in the smaller tray and jars or bottles in the larger, or a bathroom shelf with soaps and cotton buds. Steam swells willow and marks cotton, so keep them well back from a shower enclosure or the edge of a bath.

Is the white wash painted on or soaked in?

It sits on the surface of the willow, which is why the grain and the weave still read through it. It is not a stain that goes to the core, as steaming does.

Will the white mark or chip?

It wears at the rim and the corners first, where a tray gets handled, and it goes slightly translucent as it thins. Most people find it settles into a softer look rather than looking damaged.

What are the linings made from?

100% cotton, one per tray, and both are removable. They are not fixed to the willow at any point.

Are these safe next to a shower?

On a shelf across the room, yes. Inside a shower enclosure or on the edge of a bath, no: steam and splashes will swell the willow and mark the cotton.
