Light Steamed Wicker Chest Hamper with Lid

Light steamed split willow and brown faux leather detailing give this compact chest hamper its warm, traditional appearance. A woven lid, top handle and front clasp complete the rectangular design, bringing the charm of a little travelling chest to natural basketware.

Fill it with carefully chosen gifts or give it a place on a bedroom shelf for keepsakes and personal belongings. Its modest proportions make it particularly appealing where useful storage can also become part of the room’s decoration.

Key Features

Split willow construction: Natural woven texture.
Light steamed finish: Warm colouring for relaxed interiors.
Brown faux leather detailing: Complements the traditional chest shape.
Hinged lid and clasp: Keeps stored belongings covered.
Top handle: A characteristic finishing detail.

How can I plan a gift hamper that closes neatly?

Arrange the gifts together before adding packing material, keeping taller items away from the lid. Allow room around the contents rather than relying on the basket’s overall measurements as internal space.

Could I use it for photographs and small mementoes?

It makes an attractive outer storage basket for these belongings. Keep photographs and delicate papers in suitable envelopes or sleeves inside, so they remain organised and separate from the weave.

What should I check before putting it on a shelf?

Leave enough space to lift the basket out or open its lid comfortably. A shelf where it can be reached easily will make it more useful for belongings you revisit regularly.
