Most storage chests are flat-topped; this one has a lid that rises through the middle. It is woven in full light steamed willow, fastened with buckled straps in tan real leather, with handle holes cut into the weave at both ends. Small, large, or a set of two.

Bedding, linen, blankets and out-of-season clothes are what it is for. Folded bedding is thickest through the centre of a basket and thinnest at the edges, and the dome follows that shape instead of pressing down on it. It also means a second one will not sit squarely on top.

Why is the lid domed?

Folded bedding is thickest through the middle of a basket and thinnest at the edges. A domed lid follows that shape instead of pressing down on it, which is the difference between the lid closing and the lid sitting proud.

What are the dimensions of the large?

The large and the set of two are not currently in stock. Email us and we will measure one before you order.

Is the leather real?

Yes. Both straps and their buckles are tan real leather, which is unusual on a storage basket at any size and part of why this one sits at the top of the range.

Can two be stacked?

Not squarely. The dome that makes it good at holding bedding is the same thing that stops a second one sitting flat on top. It was made to stand alone at the end of a bed or on a wardrobe top.
