Handwoven from full white wash willow, this square laundry basket combines a traditional wicker finish with a practical hinged lid. Integrated carrying handles sit within the woven sides, while a removable fabric lining provides a softer interior for collecting clothes and household textiles.

Designed for bedrooms, bathrooms and utility rooms, the basket offers an attractive way to keep laundry organised and out of sight. The pale willow finish works well alongside light-coloured interiors, while the fabric lining can be removed separately for cleaning.

What are the benefits of a lidded wicker laundry basket?

A hinged lid helps conceal clothing between laundry loads, creating a tidier appearance in bedrooms and bathrooms. The woven body provides a traditional decorative finish, while the fabric lining separates garments from direct contact with the willow.

Can the fabric lining be removed for cleaning?

Yes. The lining is designed to be removable so it can be cleaned separately from the wicker basket. Follow the applicable care instructions for the selected fabric and allow it to dry completely before replacing it.

Is the basket suitable for storing damp towels or clothing?

It is best used for dry laundry and household textiles. Damp items should not remain enclosed for long periods, as retained moisture can affect both natural willow and the fabric lining. Allow wet clothing and towels to dry before placing them in the basket.

How much space do I need to open the lid?

Because the lid is hinged, additional clearance is needed above and behind the basket when it opens. This is particularly important if the basket will sit beneath a shelf or beside a wall feature. Measure the intended position before ordering.

How do I maintain the white wash finish?

Remove loose dust with a soft brush or cloth, paying attention to the woven corners and around the lid. Wipe minor marks gently and avoid soaking the willow. The basket should be kept in a well-ventilated location away from persistent moisture.
