Grey wash sits in the weave of this square willow hamper rather than covering it, so the willow still shows. The lid hinges, cream faux leather trims it, the handles are worked into the sides, and the lining comes out to wash. Small, large or a set of two, lined in white, rose or grey sage.

Flat sides go hard against a wall or into the gap beside a bath. Washing is the job, with towels and bedding after. The large is the one for a family bathroom; the small drops into a bedroom corner.

FAQs

Which size holds a household's washing?

The large, at 46 x 46 cm and 61 cm tall, is the one for a family bathroom or a landing. The small at 33 x 33 cm and 50 cm tall suits a single person, a couple, or a bedroom corner where the large would dominate. The set of two lets you separate darks and lights.

Does the lining come out for washing?

Yes, that is the point of it. The cotton lining is removable, so it can be washed rather than spot cleaned, which is worth having on a basket that holds laundry.

Which lining colour should I pick?

White is the plainest and shows the grey wash willow off most clearly. Garden rose is a floral print. Grey sage is a soft green that sits closest to the willow itself. All three are the same fabric and all three lift out.

Will the lid stay put?

The lid is hinged rather than loose, so it lifts back and stays attached. That is one less thing to find a home for when the basket is open.
