Full double steamed willow, woven into a rectangular basket with a handle hole cut at either end so nothing protrudes. Steaming draws the colour through the willow rather than staining the surface. Four sizes are made, singly or as a set of four, each unlined or with a removable Garden Rose or Grey Sage cotton lining.

Lining is the real decision. Unlined, the weave shows inside and the basket is at its lightest; lined, cotton covers the interior and adds a little weight. They are low enough for under-bed and cupboard shelving.

FAQs

How is this different from the white lined version?

It is the same basket in the same four sizes. These come unlined or with a Garden Rose or Grey Sage lining. For the white lining, see our Double Steamed Wicker Basket with Cotton Lining. Pick whichever lining you want and ignore the rest.

Do the lined and unlined baskets measure the same?

Close, but not identical. The lining adds roughly a centimetre to the small and large sizes, so the small goes from 32 x 19 cm to 33 x 20 cm. The medium and extra large measure the same either way.

Will it fit under a bed?

The small is 17 cm tall and the extra large 23 cm, so it depends on your bed frame. Measure the clearance first, and remember you need the height plus a little to slide it out over any carpet.

Does the lining come out to wash?

Yes. The Garden Rose and Grey Sage linings are a cotton and polyester mix and lift straight out. Let them dry fully before refitting.
