White wash willow in a quarter-round shape: two straight sides meet in the corner and the front curves between them. The lid is hinged, and the lining comes out to be washed. Linings are classic white, garden rose or grey sage, in small, large or both.

The pale finish keeps it light in a bathroom, where it holds the washing until laundry day. Full height in a corner footprint keeps it clear of the walkway. If this is the only hamper in the house take the large; the small is for a cloakroom or an en suite.

How much floor does it actually need?

The large runs 46 cm along each wall and curves across the front, so it occupies the corner triangle rather than a square footprint. Measure 46 cm out from the corner along both walls and check nothing, such as a radiator pipe or skirting, interrupts that run. The small needs 33 cm.

Will it hold as much as a square hamper?

At 60 cm tall it holds a good deal, though a square hamper of the same width will always hold more. You are trading some capacity for a basket that does not stick out into the room.

Does the lining come out for washing?

Yes, the cotton lining is removable. On a laundry basket that matters more than anywhere else in the range.

What is in the set of two?

One of each size in the same lining: the 33 cm small and the 46 cm large, 3.8 kg together. Most people use the pair as a two-bin sort, whites in one and colours in the other.
