A small rectangular gift hamper, woven from full buff willow and trimmed with dark faux leather. The lid hinges at the back, a buckle fastens it at the front, and the carry handle matches the leather of the buckle. One size only, sold empty.

The well is shallow, so a filled hamper holds its contents in a single layer and shows everything at once when the lid is lifted. It is bought for chocolates, cheeses and small keepsakes, for Christmas and retail packaging, and for display.

What will a 26 x 20 cm hamper actually hold?

Roughly a box of chocolates and two or three small jars, or a couple of wrapped cheeses. That is an estimate from the internal footprint rather than a measured pack, so tell us what you are filling it with and we will try it before you order.

Is the buckle just for show?

No. It fastens through a keeper on the front of the body and holds the lid closed while the hamper is carried or posted.

How does this compare with your larger buff hampers?

This is the smallest we list. Our 12 inch runs to 30 x 23 cm and our 14 inch sizes to 36 x 26 cm, both of them deeper as well as longer.

Is the willow treated in any way?

It is buff willow, which is a natural tan with nothing painted or lacquered over it. Keep it indoors and dry; it is not sealed, so it is not a basket for outdoors.
